Our story

A Journey from Lost to Limitless

Once I used to run to unwind - until I got to that point when even running was unable to provide. I had become lost, exhausted, and estranged from all things, including my very own self.

Background

As a kid, I loved sport - football, more than anything. I played for years, full of passion and determination. But when I entered high-school, my teenage years engulfed me. Priorities shifted. I stopped playing. Bit by bit, sport vanished from my existence, and I missed that spark within.

The Struggle

Years passed. My lifestyle wasn’t healthy anymore. I felt stuck, tired, and off track. One day, I chanced upon YouTube videos of trail runners - runners gliding above mountains, all sweaty and resolute. Some spark rekindled within me. I broke my unhealthy routine and started walking every day. All I could do, for the initial 3–4 months, was walk. But it was a start.
So, I began short runs. They were not fun, but they opened my eyes. I felt better after each run - not just physically, but also psychologically. I couldn’t believe my sudden body response. It rekindled my passion. This time, I wasn’t looking for a football dream - I was looking for more.

The Turning Point

There's one rainy solo run that I remember. I was cold, wet, and exhausted. But when I stopped to breathe and looked out across the valley below, I knew this: I wasn’t running away from life anymore - I was running towards it. I'd found something genuine again.

The Success

Then everything grew. I started racing, and every time I crossed the line, my confidence grew too. My family and friends were shocked at my results. This year, I completed my first international race, the Marathon du Mont Blanc. Today, I run 100km a week with over 3,000 meters of climbing. I train hard, recover smarter, and stay regular.

A Deeper Reward

But more than physical prizes, trail running gave me one thing I could never have hoped for: camaraderie. I have made authentic friendships, crossed paths with people who inspire me, and learned wonderful things - not just about sport, but about life. I returned to sport not as the footballer I used to be, but as a dedicated trail runner who had been given a
second chance.

You don’t have a perfect route - you have to have the heart to start all over. The trail showed me that there's growth in struggle, and there's success for those who continue to ascend, even when they feel that peak is entirely out of reach.
